“Best Day Ever” Buttercream Striped Wedding Cake with Flowers and Pine Cones

I got to make the wedding cake for my friend Jasmyn’s wedding this past weekend.  It was a big one!  The bottom layer was 10″ wide and 4″ tall, the middle was 8″ wide and 4″ tall and the top was 6″ wide and 4″ tall and add to that the 2″ wood slab!  It was tall and also heavy!  But I think it turned out really cute.  The cake was a Funfetti cake made with this recipe and the frosting was my favorite buttercream, recipe here.  Jasmyn had the topper made but we decided to put it in the middle instead of on top and I think that was a good call.  Pine cones on the top and on the bottom and some flowers around the “Best Day Ever” topper finished the look.  Congratulations to Jasmyn and Josh!  Thanks for letting me be a part of your big day!
