  1. I’m a huge fan of chinese, but constantly worried about what’s REALLY in it. Here’s my OWN Chinese Chicken Fried Rice recipe:
    1 egg, 1 Tbls Water, 1 Tbles Butter, 1 tbles veg. oil, 1 onion chopped, 2 cups cooked white rice, cold. 2 tbls soy sauce (I add extra afterwards too) 1 teas. ground black pepper, 1 cup or more cooked chopped chicken.

    In small bowl, beat egg with water. melt butter in large skillet over medium low heat. Add egg and leave flat 1-2 min. Remove from skillet and cut into shreds. Heat oil, and onion saute until soft. Then add rice, soy sauce, pepper, and chicken. Stir 5 minutes. Add egg.

    It’s sooo good 🙂

Ah well, probably shouldn’t even go for the second entry because a) I’m not the soup eater so b) I’m not really sure how Mom, who does makes the soup she does but c) the other one she has regularly is the wonton soup from this one particular Chinese place we like. So…. better not count this post as an entry. LOL 🙂
