Apple Banana Doggie Birthday Cake with Peanut Butter Banana Frosting
My daughter has two labs and they turned 2 on Christmas Day so we celebrated their birthday last night with pizza for the humans and these little cakes for the doggos.

Simba, Finn and Ziggy
Here here her two labs, Simba and Ziggy, and my corgi Finn in their cowboy party hats, suffering through a picture before they were allowed to eat their cakes. The cakes were demolished in under a minute.
cake
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup shredded apple
1 mashed banana
1 cup wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup water
frosting
1 mashed banana
2 – 3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
1 For the cake, mix together applesauce, apples, and mashed banana. Stir in flour, baking powder, and water until well combined.
2 Grease large muffin tin with coconut oil. Bake at 350 for 20 – 25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool before frosting.
3 For the frosting, stir together the mashed banana and the peanut butter until almost smooth. Spread over cakes.
recipe from Personal Creations
One of my dogs turned 11 on Christmas Day and I made her a peanut butter doggie cake to share with her siblings. BUT……. this recipe looks awesome! Going to try it for my other dog who turns 13 on St. Patty’s day coming up!
Thanks for the recipe 🙂
