Last night I was in charge of the combined Wednesday night activity for the Young Women and Young Men at church. We played Human Battleship which was pretty fun and of course, there had to be treats so I made several different kinds of Rice Krispie treats including these delicious (and easy!) morsels which come from “Food.com”.
1 (12 oz) package milk chocolate chips
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
4 cups Rice Krispies
1/2 cup chopped pecans (I left these out because you never know who might be allergic to nuts)
1 In large saucepan, combine chocolate chips, butter and corn syrup. Stir over low heat until chips melt.
2 Remove from heat and add vanilla, peanut butter and powdered sugar and mix well.
3 Stir in cereal and nuts and mix well.
4 Spread into greased 9 x 13″ pan and chill until firm.
Penny, I love the recipes you share! And just so you know, you have your own “Penny’s Recipes” folder in my email that I save your emails that I can reference to at a later date. Hope all is going well with you. I hope we can catch up soon!
